Josh Drukarz is the Managing Partner at Scalar North Capital, a London-based private investment vehicle and family office focused on private-market investments across the UK and Europe. He joined the firm in 2019 after working at HSBC’s Global Banking & Markets division, where he specialised in event-driven Rates and FX derivative hedging. With extensive experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, and real estate in both London and New York, Josh has developed a strong track record of structuring and executing complex, high-value transactions across sectors such as technology, real estate, and financial services.

At Scalar North Capital, Josh drives strategy, operations, and deal execution, leading the firm’s investments in VisiLean, Converge, Snap It, and Connectd. His leadership was instrumental in achieving a 5x MOIC on the sale of Keynest. In 2020, Josh completed a management buyout (MBO) of Scalar North Capital alongside partners Gary Sacks, Richard Frank, and Daniel Harris. Following the MBO, he became Managing Partner, assuming responsibility for the firm’s growth and strategic direction. Under his leadership, Scalar North Capital has expanded into new sectors and launched advisory and consultancy arms, Nexa and TeqDen, which have provided support to several of the firm’s portfolio companies. As a board member and advisor to multiple businesses, Josh provides expertise across strategy, operations, and financing.

As VP of Investor Relations at portfolio company Chip, Josh successfully led the £11m convertible loan note (CLN) from the British Business Bank (Future Fund) and Crowdcube in September 2020, securing critical capital during a pivotal expansion phase.

Outside his role at Scalar North Capital, Josh serves on the board and as Chief of Staff and Commercial Director at ReCharge One, spearheading the development of large-scale, off-grid, renewable-powered EV charging infrastructure in the UK’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). He has played a pivotal role in shaping the business plan, securing planning consent and funding for a flagship site in the South Downs National Park, and advancing a robust pipeline of future sites across the UK. Josh has also been instrumental in cultivating strategic partnerships with oil and energy majors to operate the EV charging and off-grid energy solutions.
